P.F. Chang’s China Bistro recently opened its doors to the public at Villagio Mall this weekend. Foodies in Doha have been waiting eagerly for this newest addition to the P.F. Chang’s international Empire. [Update: Qatar Eating reviews P.F. Chang’s Doha]
The original restaurant opened in 1993 in Arizona and was named after its initial conceptualisers Paul Fleming and Philip Chiang. It has been brought to the Middle East region by M.H. Alshaya Co.
American bistro-style hospitality is paired with Asian cuisines and the brand is synonymous with flavour and variety. It also has a few gluten free options on the menu, but be sure to ask the servers or manager for details. The dining room has a modern design with elements of Chinese décor including unique murals which are personalised to each restaurant location.
The menu offers items inspired by the regional cuisines of China and South East Asia including dishes based upon the flavours of the famous Sichuan province. The complexity of flavour is provided by the use of different spices and seasonings, and most dishes are cooked in a traditional hot wok giving a smoky, crispy flavour.
There are a range of signature dishes which are very popular with customers around the world from the Mongolian Beef to the Great Wall of Chocolate dessert. And be sure to give the Dynamite Shrimp a go.
