Diners at Arguelina Lounge are in for a culinarytreat with two different mezze set menus, and a separate desserts menu that features authentic Turkish baklava and Umm Ali. The menu is perfect for light suhour, and yet it provides enough meat options to satisfy your appetite.
The QAR 125 set menu features a variety of items, including cold and hot mezze, soup, mains and desserts. There are a selection of fresh juices and Ramadan juices available to choose from including watermelon and pineapple juice, Tamer Hindi, and Jallab.
Cold mezze include a zingy Tabbuleh salad, a creamy moutabal, and a crisp and fresh Summer Salad. Hot mezze standout items included the excellent cheese sambousek, and the crave-worthy Lamb Kibbeh which had the right amount of meat filling.
Main courses include popular breakfast dishes across the region: Turkish Cilber (poached eggs in garlicky yoghurt); Middle Eastern Foul moudamas (fava beans with various condiments); and Qatari Balaleet (sweet vermicelli with eggs). Head Chef Ibrahim Shaaban is keen to highlight how fresh the menu is with different options to satisfy guests from all backgrounds. If there was ever a menu was crafted for those early morning suhour cravings it is this one.
Along with these lighter options there are also meat dishes available: perfectly-grilled Shish Tawook; juicy Lamb Kofte; tender Shish Kebab: and marinated Lamb Cutlet. This mixed grill platter hits all the right notes – the lamb dishes really stood out as winners, and will have you going back for more!
Crowne Plaza’s Dutch-Turkish Chef Sabri has brought something special to the desserts menu with artisan Turkish baklava. If you really enjoy this type of week then you need to take a look at the separate desserts menu, which features a wedge slice of baklava with mastic ice cream. Their chocolate and coconut varieties of baklava will have you amazed with the inventiveness of the chef – you’ll be wondering what they will create next!
