During Ramadan days if your obsession with food increases, but you don’t have the inclination or the time to cook then consider ordering in your Iftar or Suhoor meal.
There are some fantastic local neighbourhood restaurants and eateries offering takeaway or delivery options during the day.
Tips – Make sure you bear in mind the following points when making your food order:
- Restaurants offering delivery service cover a limited area so make sure to check if your neighbourhood is included.
- Be sure to double-check the wait time for delivery with the restaurant when you make your food order. Generally you can expect a wait of at least an hour, with this increasing during busy periods.
- Some restaurants and cafes may only offer takeaway option during the day, whilst others may offer delivery at various times of the day so be sure to take a note of the details.
- You may be able to place Iftar orders earlier in the day, to collect or have delivered when their takeaway/delivery service is available.
- Most venues have a minimum spend for delivery, and/or may charge a delivery fee.
- Restaurants offering delivery service cover a limited area so make sure to check if your neighbourhood is included.
- Make sure to check your order once it has been delivered and ensure that all food items and dishes are correct.
- Be sure to tip the delivery man when paying for your order.
- If your food arrives cold, or the order is incorrect, call up the restaurant and talk to the manager to try and resolve the issue. Be polite but firm in order to come to a fair resolution. And try not to be rude to the delivery man.
