Spice Market is a well-established South-East Asian Restaurant, winning accolades from the annual Time Out Doha Restaurant Awards and FACT Dining Awards Doha 2015. Fans of the restaurant will be pleased to know that there is a new limited Dim Sum Menu created by Chef Allan Huang.
He is known as one of the creators of several popular Dim Sums, including the Chilled Mango Sago Cream with Pomelo, the Turnip Cake and the Fried Radish Cake with XO Sauce. Witth 30 years experience in the culinary world he has served many government VIPs from home and abroad.
Chef Huang created the Chilled Mango Sago Cream with Pomelo together with his colleagues when working in Singapore, which was inspired by the abundant tropical fruits from South East Asia.
And the Turnip Cake he created looks like silkworm chrysalis with rich tastes – with a crispy skin and smooth turnip stuffing. It became popular in Guangzhou and South China, and has taken its place as part of the classic Dim Sum in the restaurants of Guangzhou.
As the Sous chef-Dimsum, Chef Huang also studies intensively in Chinese and Western dishes. He believes that the color, aroma, taste and shape of Dim Sum are all important. Importance is also placed on the raw materials and the duration and degree of heating, as well as the quantity of oil.
For lovers of Dim Sum Chef Allan’s creations will be available at Spice Market Doha from 12th until 19th November 2015. Priced at 250QR.
