Zengo Doha is officially opening on 1st November!
This is the new opening we have been looking forward to Doha foodies, since first hearing about it straight from Chef Richard Sandoval. He has hinted something very special will be introduced to Doha – and we have been inclined to believe that he can definitely deliver.
He is after all the creative genius behind Toro Toro Doha and Isla Mexican Kitchen. Both concepts have excellent quality food, great beverages and sleek sophisticated decor. The menus for these restaurants are on the pricier side, and we expect Zengo Doha will be the same.
Zengo Doha
Zengo Doha is located on the top floor of the tallest residential building in Doha – Kempinski Residences & Suites in Westbay. With that distinction comes breathtaking views across the city – we expect most diners will find it hard to take their gaze away from the windows.
It’s all very secretive over at Zengo Doha HQ; we have managed to catch a few hints to the look and feel of the restaurant thanks to the Zengo Doha Facebook page.
Although the Chef-Restaurateur has a Latin background, he has stated that the menu will have an Asian influence. The current menu at Z Lounge by Zengo (which occupies the other half of the same floor) is a reflection of what diners can expect at Zengo Doha. The menu is expected to be a variety of Asian favourites from Sandoval’s travels.
Head Chef Marko Maric will be in the Zengo Doha kitchen; and we can’t wait to see what he and his team have on the menu. We know that you can expect steamed, fried or pan fried Zengo Dim Sum from their Dim Sum Master Chef Zilian Zeng. He is apparently from Canton Southern China, so we look forward to fresh flavours!
(Expect a Zengo Doha restaurant review soon!)
Here are a few sneak peeks at the sleek and captivating interiors of the dining areas (with selected images taken by Joe Chua Agdeppa).
