On September 1st 2016 history will be made as Evergreen Organics, Qatar’s first 100% vegan cafe, opens to the public.
Evergreen Organics is all things green – with an emphasis upon goodness, nutrition and health. Co-Founders Ghanim Al Sulaiti and Jowaher Al Fardan live a heathy eating food lifestyle, with an emphasis upon plant power and yoga meditation.
Styling themselves as Vegan Gangstas they have teamed up with Executive Chef Matt Dowens and Sous Chef Maros Weiser to bring raw and vegan dishes to the Doha dining scene.
The foodies amongst you will recognise the brand from its food stall at MIA Park during Qatar International Food Festival 2016, when it introduced its vegan flavours to the public. Visitors purchased vibrant raw cheesecakes, seasoned kale chips, and the Evergreen signature cold pressed juice.

Evergreen Organics – What To Expect
The Evergreen Organics Cafe plant-based menu has been conceptualised to provide proteins and vitamins. It’s all about food nutrition with menu items designed to nourish and heal. Prices are high but reflect the healthy organic produce and quality ingredients.
All food is prepared in the Evergreen Organics kitchen, including their sauces and pickles. Expect colourful raw and gluten-free vegan dishes, plant-based drinks and sugar-free desserts, with a few superfoods thrown into the mix!
Menu Items reflect the cafe dining concept with healthy salads, burger, sandwiches, raw tacos and juices. Ingredients include almond feta, cashew cheese, agave, acai, raw cacao, maca, and lacuna. Local flavours have also been brought into the menu with a mezze platter, and fattoush salad.
Most importantly, there is an element of inspiration and aspiration to the brand as it brings its version of the global clean-eating trend to Doha’s local F&B market.
A sustainable ethos encompasses the brand with cafe decor and the utensils made from reclaimed wood, coconut shells, and bamboo. Coconut bowls and bamboo straws reflect a “recycle, re-use and reduce” environment.
The Juice Bar provides a variety of drinks including organic cold-pressed juices. Activated charcoal in Be Magic encourages detoxifying effect, whilst the Be Grounded is packed with antioxidants. Also available are the Be Purified, Be Evergreen, Be Inspired, and Be Comforted juice options.

However it is not all about the food at Evergreen Organics. There will be a community space to educate and inspire guests about healthy living and eating (Jowaher’s yoga studio, Niya Yoga, is expected to open nearby).
Ghanim has been promoting and discussing the vegan lifestyle over the past year to an increasingly health-conscious public. The goal isn’t to turn us all into vegans, but to encourage us to make conscious food choices.
