Toro Toro Friday Brunch
Toro Toro is the venue on everyone’s mind lately – the venue had a successful showing at the recent awards ceremonies scooping up Best Latin American Restaurant (Time Out Doha Restaurant Awards 2016 and Fact Qatar Dining Awards 2016) and Restaurant of the Year (Fact Qatar Dining Awards 2016).
At Toro Toro’s Friday Brunch you are first served appetisers which include both hot and cold dishes. The contrasting textures of the Tuna Tataki, Tostadas de Carne and Anticucho de Pescado stood out.
Whilst the Cachapas corn pancakes was the highlight with authentic flavours. These small dishes are an element created by Chef Richard Sandoval to introduce Latin American tastes to more diners.
The Main Course are a variety of meat cuts including Beef Tenderloin, Rib Eye and Steak. These were accompanied by sides of rice, beans and potato toston.
Keep an eye out for the skewers with glistening meat are served straight to your table by the Toro Toro Churrascaros. You use the Red/Green cards to let the server know when you want more meat.
Between the small plates and the churrasco there was barely enough room for dessert. However the selection of South American sweets are surprisingly light (though high in calories), and included Dulce de Leche cake, Salted Caramel Mousse and Churros!
So does is this brunch worth of your last brunch of the season? Yes it is, especially if you are looking for excellent food, authentic flavours, and heavenly desserts.
