German Doner Kebab opened its doors earlier this month at The Pearl-Qatar. The F&B brand opened its first store in 1989 in Berlin and has 40 franchised eateries around the world.
The brand is keen to highlight the the quality of the meat and a menu that is free from preservatives or additives. It has worked on a vision of producing a great-tasting but healthier doner-kebabs versus the traditional kebabs.
At the Doha grand opening special guests and media were invited to try out meat or vegetarian items from their menu which offers Doner Kebab Sandwich, Durum Doner Sandwich, Doner Burger, whilst sides include french fries and cheese borek.
The focus from many of the guests was on their Doner Sandwich which has a choice of veal or chicken and extras such as feta cheese and pickles. The brand also has its own secret sauces (Spic, Garlic or Yoghurt) and its special ‘Doner Kebab’ bread helps to soak up the sauces.
