IDAM, one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the Middle East has opened up a new outdoor lounge area.
The haute cuisine restaurant is located in the Museum of Islamic Art, and is well known for its seasonal menus highlighting delicate flavours and culinary mastery by its chefs.
The Executive Chef Damien Leroux, along with his team, have also been providing masterclass cooking classes.
The new new terrace-lounge will allow visitors to enjoy stunning views of the Westbay skyline and the Arabian Sea. It has a seating capacity of 50 people and was designed by Phillipe Starck with an emphasis on a natural palette of wood, ceramic and marble to create a stylish and relaxing space.
The lounge is open during lunch and dinner, and will serve various beverages including fresh juices, tea and coffee – all complimented with ‘Zaatar Goujeres’.
This change makes the spot Doha’s newest (non-alcoholic) daytime rooftop lounge!
It’s a big step towards changing up the image of the restaurant, which is priced at the higher end of the market. Although we would argue that every riyal spent there is well worth it!
The most exciting step yet will be when second phase is completed with the extension of the terrace to provide an outdoor dining experience by IDAM. We really hope that afternoon tea on the terrace is offered in the future.
