Jamie’s Italian has opened for the first time in Qatar. Diners and foodies can find the celebrity chef’s new branch at Doha Festival City!

Jamie’s Italian is a rustic Italian casual dining concept from British Chef Jamie Oliver. The restaurant serves salads, salads, grills, pizzas, pasta and desserts.

Who is Jamie Oliver?

Jamie Oliver has 37 restaurant in the UK alone (although a recent restructuring will see 12 of those locations close). He is multiple successful cooking books, TV shows and a magazine to his name.

He is also an important advocate for healthy eating and overcoming childhood obesity. HE helmed a school dinners campaign in Britain that would bring a lot of attention to the food  served to schoolchildren.

In UK branches of Jamie’s Italian he has introduced a ‘sugar tax’ on fizzy drinks to encourage diners to think more about the food the eat (with the extra money given to charity).

His dedication to helping youths has led to him to open multiple locations of his ‘Fifteen’ restaurant. This non-profit chain of restaurants has helped to train marginalised and disadvantaged youths in the UK to train as chefs.
