Qanat Quartier is fast becoming The Pearl-Qatar’s foodie hotspot with an interesting mix of casual cafes and dine-in restaurants.

We’re super excited about making a visit out to Viva Mexico by Mr Taco – the first restaurant from one of our favourite Mexican eateries. (This is our other favourite in case you were wondering!)

Here are the latest foodie hotspots that have opened in QQ. And there are plenty of other great concepts to look forward to with more openings planned soon.

Qanat Quartier – New Restaurants

Volume Cafe

Say hello to classical interiors with this trending cafe with design elements inspired by modern insta-cool features. The ground floor has fashionable marble table tops, and the calming atmosphere is all reserved for the first floor with casual leather seating and hundreds of books.

Their signature cakes includes several versions of the crowd favourite Milky Cake, while  Honey Pudding is another sweet pleaser. They offer a variety of coffee drinks including cereal latte.

Opening Times: Saturday-Wednesday 4:00pm – 11:00pm; Friday 4:00pm – 12:00am. (Still in soft opening – working hours will soon be updated).

Viva Mexico by Mr Taco

Mr Taco first location in the food court at Dar Salam Mall has always made it a ‘hidden gem’ amongst foodies in Doha. We have been eagerly awaiting the opening of their new Qanat Quartier location, which brings bright and colourful decor with flavours to match.

Mssamen & Atai

Think contemporary with a Morrocan twist – menu items are plated up in bright tagines and beautiful crockery. You’re in for a treat with great hospitality from the staff in an elegant setting. A great option to take guests and visiting family for a special dinner.

Crepe Bechamel

There is an interesting mix of French and Qatari flavours at this waterside restaurant. With views across Qanat Quartier you can easily imagine you are dining in Europe. The menu features interesting mix-ups such as Crepe Balaleet and Umm Ali Souffle.

Yufkachi

The latest opening on The Pearl-Qatar features the best of Turkish products including tea, coffee and homemade baked goods. A variety of delicate Turkish pastries will definitely tempt your sweet tooth.

Ginger Club

One of Doha’s staple Chinese restaurants has now opened a restaurant in Qanat Quartier. If you have never tried the food at Ginger Club then you are in for a treat with its mix of Chinese and Thai menu items. Their vegetable dumplings with accompanying sauces are stellar…!

Cue Qatar

Coming Soon…! We’ve been waiting to hear more about this cafe for months, and we are still excited. We’ve been promised whimsy and dreamy interiors. Looking forward to the specially commissioned artworks from a regional artist (cloudicorns FTW).
