Every October Qatar turns pink for the International Month for Breast Cancer Awareness. This year is no different, with many restaurants presenting special pink-themed events and promotions.

We also want to take a moment to highlight the importance of regular screening as early detection of breast cancer can increase chances of survival to 98%. It should be emphasised that men can suffer from the illness too, and that all women irrespective of age should contact their physician if they have any concerns.

Screen for Life provides free screening services for women aged between 45 and 69. Call 0800 1112 to arrange a 20minute appointment at their mobile unit or any of their screening facilities.

Screen for Life Activation Booths will also be touring the following malls: Gulf Mall Oct 1 – 8; Ezdan Mall Oct 6-17; Landmark Mall Oct 16-31; and Villagio Mall Oct 25-31. Booths will be open between 2pm and 10pm (Saturdays 10am to 10pm).
