Torba Farmer’s Market – Qatar’s first artisan and organic market.
The name Torba indicates pure and nourishing soil and that is the ethos behind the market. Health and wellbeing are important core strengths for this market. Eventually the organisers expect to be selling a variety of for items (organic and/or gluten-free), handicrafts, and gardening products.
The ultimate aim is to encourage an educated food community, and to push the production of locally grown food and Made In Qatar products.
Visitors and traders will help to create a community that understands more about its local food production, and is able to promote the growing and consumption of local food.
Torba Farmers Market will run until February. If you:
- grow or make your own products, or
- are an artisan producer, or
- source items from such producers, or
- make market food items, or
- sell goods that are ethical,
then you can contact the organisers using the Torba Market trader’s application form.
